Meet our Staff
The Rev. Keith Yamamoto, RectorAs rector Keith leads the parish which is made up of a church, school, and preschool. His main job is to preach the good news of God's love through Jesus Christ. Together, he and the members of the parish fulfill our calling to be a community of grace. He leads a mid-week Bible Study and a monthly Reel Spirituality (matinee, fellowship & conversation).
Since Keith's ordination in 1997 church and school combinations have been a wonderful part of his ministry. Keith serves on the Commission on Schools and also on the Committee on Resolutions for the Diocese. He also serves as a coordinator for General Convention.
Keith's interests include running, magic, and movies. He is married to the Rev. Pat McCaughan; they met in New York while they were attending seminary. They are training for the Disneyland Half Marathon on Labor Day weekend.

The Rev. Lee Harris, DeaconThe Reverend Lee Harris is an ordained deacon and chaplain for the school and preschool. He has been a member of St. Mark's since 1991, and an Episcopalian since high school. He was born and raised in Pasadena, and attended the University of California at Berkeley and the Episcopal Theological School at Claremont (Bloy House). For St. Mark's School, he is responsible for all religious education and daily worship, and also coaches the championship debate team. As a member of the parish clergy team, Lee is actively involved in Sunday worship, is responsible for the acolyte guild, and is also always available for pastoral care. When not at St. Mark's, Lee works as a wallcovering contractor. He has two children and four grandchildren, with whom he loves to spend time on his boat.

The Rev. Kay Landers, Deacon AssistingKay Landers and her husband David moved to Upland in 2011 in order to live near their family, and began to attend St. Mark's. At the present time Kay is serving as a volunteer chaplain at Pomona Valley Community Hospital.
Both David and Kay have a strong bond with the World Mission Outreach of the Episcopal Church having served as missionaries for 33 years with the Pioneer Short Wave Broadcaster and Medical Mission, HCJB in Quito, Ecuador, from 1958 to 1991.
Kay served as Deacon at All Saints Episcopal Church in San Leandro, CA and eventually (for 15 years) served as Manager of Chaplaincy Services for Alameda County Medical Centers; Highland Hospital, Fairmont Hospital and John George Psychiatric Pavilion.
Kay became a Board Certified Chaplain in 1978. She was ordained by the Rt. Rev. William Swing as a Deacon on June 7, 1997, in the Diocese of California at Grace Cathedral.
